Key Responsibilities:

    1. Technical Support: Provide technical assistance to customers and end-users regarding the installation, operation, and maintenance of automation systems. Address inquiries, diagnose and resolve technical issues, and provide guidance on troubleshooting procedures.
    2. Maintenance and Repair: Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on automation equipment, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), robotic systems, HMIs (Human-Machine Interfaces), and other automation devices. Identify and replace faulty components and ensure proper calibration and alignment of equipment.
    3. System Upgrades and Modifications: Collaborate with customers to assess their automation needs and recommend upgrades or modifications to existing systems. Install software updates, firmware upgrades, and hardware components to enhance system performance and functionality.
    4. On-Site Support: Visit customer sites to perform on-site troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance activities. Coordinate with customers to schedule visits, ensure minimal disruption to operations, and provide timely resolution to technical issues.
    5. Documentation and Reporting: Create detailed service reports, maintenance logs, and documentation of repairs, upgrades, and modifications performed. Maintain accurate records of equipment configurations, software versions, and calibration parameters.
    6. Customer Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, serving as a trusted technical advisor. Understand customer requirements, provide proactive support, and offer recommendations for optimizing their automation systems.
    7. Training and Knowledge Transfer: Conduct training sessions and workshops for customers, technicians, and operators on the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of automation equipment. Share knowledge and best practices to empower customers in utilizing the systems effectively.
    8. Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while performing service activities. Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and customer-specific requirements related to automation systems.
    9. Continuous Learning and Improvement: Stay updated with the latest automation technologies, trends, and best practices. Participate in training programs, seminars, and certifications to enhance technical skills and knowledge.

    Qualifications and Skills:

    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field (e.g., electrical, electronics and mechatronics automation).
    • Proven experience as a Service Engineer or in a similar technical support role, specifically in automation.
    • Strong knowledge of automation systems, including PLCs, robotics, HMIs, and industrial networks.
    • Proficient in diagnosing and troubleshooting issues in automation hardware, software, and control systems.
    • Familiarity with programming languages such as ladder logic, structured text, C/C++, or Python.
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve technical issues efficiently.
    • Strong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with customers.
    • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively in a dynamic service environment.
    • Attention to detail and accuracy in documenting service activities and maintaining records.
    • Flexibility to travel to customer sites as needed and work outside of regular business hours when required.
    • Knowledge of safety standards and regulations related to automation systems.
    • Familiarity with diagnostic tools, test equipment, and software for automation troubleshooting.
